I was supposed to go with my dad but he had a hang over so he handed me the keys..I went solo today and today was a pretty darn good day for me at least. I grinded out my limit before i had to go to School at 4 pm to 5 45pm today lol...first spot produced 5 keepers trout from 15" to 18" plus released 3 trout over 25 inches ranging from 4 to 6 lbs! Man they were FAT! then rat reds came in so i went to the other spot and i brought my phone so i could cpr trout over 25 inches but guess what happened! I had my phone in my pocket and somehow it slipped out of my freaking pocket and went into the water...I quickly grabbed it and dried it before it got worse!! MAN I WAS STUPID!! Im not ever bringing my phone again unless its in a plastic bag or something..So I finally got to my honeyhole and saw some bait activity so First cast and BAM! 26 inches trout around 5 lbs released!! then again second cast BAM! A nice redfish but it spit the hook! DANG IT! I caught more small rat reds and moved up further then caught 5 more keepers trout from 15" to 16" and caught my limit...time was running out...released maybe 15 more keepers trout on the way back...and 2 more trout guessing around 26 and 27 inches but they were skinny maybe 4 to 5 lbs... I wish my phone was working so i could take those last three trout pictures...im buying a camera for sure!! left them biting around 2 pm and get out there! topwater and dark colored plastics was the bait of choice! mud and scattered reef in 2 to 3' of water with the low tide.
