  • East Bay, Too good not to post!

Me and a buddy fished East Bay wed morn and smoked the reds. It was extremely foggy that morn so we idled out to our shoreline while staying glued to the GPS. Caught the first Red on the second cast out of the boat and never had to move. We stayed in the same spot and had a 2 man limit in 10min. Stayed and played with them for the next hour then had to get back home and go to bed. Just coming of night shift!!! The Reds were in nut deep water, soft mud with scattered shell. Caught them on everything we through except topwaters. They wouldnt even come sniff a topwater. Water temp was showing 56 when we left. Water had good vis to about 2 feet. Black/Chart sand eels accounted for most of the fish. A few hit a Chart/Pearl corky devil. Late!!!

Way to go! E. Bay is a stone's throw away but I can't get myself to wait for the ferry.

You're right about the hat. I had a friend that wore one out back in the mid-80's. He had to hunt one down to wear. He called them his "lucky hats."
