11-28-09 snake island cove
Got out again on Saturday. No dark thirty since I fished Friday. Arrived at Sea Isle and Snake Island Cove at 8:30 AM. It was partly cloudy early, then cloudy the rest of the day. Outgoing tide until about noon, then incoming the rest of the day. Surface water temperature was 60 degrees- brought a thermometer. Water was 10 " vsibility and green to tea colored depending on location , but still decent visibility. Wind was SE to ESE 7-14 MPH, beach water was 68 degrees. Not much bait activity. Took a picture of Sea Isle pier, and Snake Island, and the geotubes. Fished my way to Snake Island and then the southern tip of the island without result. It looked dead and I thought it was not to be a good catching trip. Paddled to the geotubes and fished the down current cuts. The water was way smoother on the north, down current side. Had my bird buddies watching the amatuer at work thinking that I would starve if I was a pelican.Tags: None
