    Did some wading and drifting in Chocolate and the SLP area today with a buddy. Beautiful day for a boat ride. Tough day for fishing. Bait wasn't scarce but bites were.

    Water was a little sandy at the pass.
    Ended up catching some dinks under birds and Glenn caught a solid 22" red. Catching was done on chartreuse tails and morning glory.

    pressure = 30.32 ?????? What the....over!

              Bad day on the water beats any type of day in the office! Glad you were at least able to get out there and get some sun, get a line wet and knock back a few cold ones.

                  Thanks for the report.

                  Is that high or low barometric pressure? Seems like it would be high recently, with these cloudless "bluebird" days and light N. wind.

                    That is definitely high, which for me always makes it tough fishing.

                      Thanks for the report, I fished Monday, full moon, higher than projected wind, water off color everywhere, pressure 30 plus rising. Beautiful day, 2 keeper trout, 2 keeper flat fish.

                      My 2 cents, pressure needs to be below 30 and falling for the fish to be hungry

                        Read that there were 2 recorded instances of pressure of 30.9 in Galveston. One in the 1800s and one in the 1980s I think.

                        Pressure of 29.9 I believe is average, and 30.3 is getting pretty high. Have to agree on the falling pressure being best, and I prefer to see under 30.

                        Now, if i could just get my days off to line up with favorable conditions!
