flounder fishing 10/19

i hooked a ride with some friends for a flounder fishing trip on monday. by the time we got gas and finger mullet we didn't start fishing til around 930. we started off at the piers between the yacht basin and ferry landing and picked up 7 with only 3 being keepers (barely). i guess just the small males are moving. i decided that perhaps we should try the marsh so we went back into greens and picked up one more keeper flounder. we came back thru greens cut and looked for birds but none were working.

Thanks for the report. All the females I've been gigging have small under developed egg sacks. Might be a sign its a bit early as all the running flounder I get in the channel look much more spawn-ready.
