Thanks ya'll.
Met up with Jt, the Moonpie, and Alex aka TTU Wader yesterday morning at Sea Isle.
Our first spot looked very good and I thought we were fixing to spank them really good on topwaters but Alex and myself just couldn't get them to go after the surface plugs. I had 1 on top and had 2 moreblowups. Alex had 1 on top and miseed one or two more. Bait was everywhere on the first stop, my problem was there was no wind and the water surface was flat. I hate flat water for topwaters! There has to be atleast a ripple on the water for me. We did scratch out about 13 to 14 fish on the first spot. Moved over to the 2nd spot where it was dead. If I had it to do over I might have passed up this spot. There was hardly any bait and no slicks. We waded here for about an hour with myself only picking up 3 Trout on plum Assassins. Hit the coves next where we found a few more Trout on plastic and some Reds. Fist cove we had 2 or 3 keeper Trout and 3 keeper Reds with 4 or 5 Reds that were just shy of the 20" mark. 2nd cove JT hooks up with a solid Red as soon as he stepped out of the boat on plastic and then Moonpie found a Red not long after that but I don't know what he caught it on. Right before we called it a day Alex stuck an 18" Trout on plastic and then I stuck a 25" Red and a 16" Trout on a blue/chrome She Dog. With the wind kicking up pretty good after lunch we called it at about 2 and headed in.
Most of the fish came on soft plastics. All of mine came on plum assassins, a bone super spook jr, and a chrome She Dog.
Fish caught in 2 to 4' of water either over shell or mud back in the coves.
Enjoyed it JT, Moonpie, and Alex
