My First Texas Slam!

That is right, I got my first slam today!

Hit the water around 4:30 pm and went to one of our favorite coves on the south shoreline. A few minutes after getting in the water, a slick was moving our way, so I threw the AP special (plastic) and caught a 17" trout. Kept throwing the AP special and landed a 20" flounder. After that it went dead and I was ready to head to the house, but Donna wanted to fish Chocolate.

Throwing shrimp under popping cork over a shell reef, I landed the 21" red. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I also caught a 15" black drum.

It was a fun day and I hope to catch a few more slams in the near future.
