The Early Bird...

....gets the trout! Slick this morning and dark-thirty when we got in the water. Like yesterday, the fish were on shallow shell. I stuck the first two before the sun hit the horizon on wht/chrt head SS Jr. The last, and largest fish about 4#, hit the old Jimmy Houston SS Jr.
Again it was over early. Maybe another front will push the bait out and the fishing will be more aggressive.

Heck WE couldn't find any reds. I figured when the tide started moving out they would be there.

The later bird has also been doing good on Flounder gigging.

for the heck of it, we went out into the surf about 10 am and 3 out of the first 5 cast had 2 reds and a trout, then that was it.
