Met up with Capt. Steve Soule this morning and a budy of his Johnathan at Fat Boys this morning at 530am and headed to the pass. The bite started off a little slow but by 8am we started hammering the reds in the lower slot range. By 830 we had 3 limits that were all caught on bone Super Spook jrs. The next move continued to produce red after red after red. I think in all we had close to 20 slot reds today all on the little bone jr. About 11am we finally started catching some really nice Trout in the 3 to 4lb range on the same topwater baits. Ended the day with 9 reds and 9 Trout to 24".
The pass is really looking good out there. Slicks starting to pop up everywhere with lots of Mullet, shad, and glass minnows around. Today the water was a little sandy but was starting to green up with the strong incomming tide. Hopefully we will have another awesome one out there again in the morning.

Didn't see any or the one that did this. Just felt the hit of him hitting the Trout. The way the bite marks are on this Trout I'm really suprised he missed.

Thanks for the report! Told my dad about it and he is eager to get out of the hospital (hip surgery) and catch some fish. Sucks about the sharks, hopefully they wont get as bad as you said they were last year..

Yo! Jeremy, I'll be in Houston but probably head to Baytown and fish upper trinity back bayous, grass flats trying to find some reds. Welcome to come not sure of the conditions but with the tide really high I've seen some big 20" + reds back in the marsh
