Took Sonny(uber) and an old friend of mine to some of my honey holes yesterday. We got a late start becuase Sonny was late.....Decided to do it backwards from what I had been doing lately and hit the redfish hole before the trout spot. Walked in and tried to hunt them down. Couldn't find them anywhere. Decided to make a move and head to the trout spot. On the way in I spotted the reds. Ended up nailing 5 reds from 21"-24" pretty quick and then it slowed down. We went to the trout spot and caught 4 trout from 18"-22" on tops before it got too hot, windy and the boat parade started. Fun day and glad I could put on a fishing seminar for the guys!!

He definitely put us on a mess of fish - between the wind, water color and the heat didn't think it would turn out that great but had a sweet time.I set my hook like I am fishing for tuna even if I am fishing for trout. Call me tuna Joe!Comment

He is catching on! He just needs to learn to tie knots so he doesn't cast of topwaters and he needs to not lather up with sun tan lotion and use his hands to do so first thing in the morning.
