  • East of Sea Isle Wade

My buddy and I wade fished the grass points just east of the Sea Isle pier and picked up four barley legal reds and one trout. Muchos sting rays in the area had me re-thinking my sanity. All in all not a bad wade. Reports from the marina that are reds have been pretty solid at the end of the pier.

We once gigged out there until we realized it was a breeding ground for stingrays... Have never been back & don't miss it!

Come to think of it I saw a few of the little evil devil tails last weekend in Carancahua Cove. I failed to mention it to my fishing crew because one of them gets a little queasy after the summer of '09...caution its a bit graphic....do the west bay shuffle

The stingrays are thick in every area of West right now...... North shoreline, South shoreline, Coves, reefs, the Pass, and everywhere in between.... Dpop saw two at the pass last thursday that were freaking monsters!!!!!

            On a side note
When we left the pass yesterday we had a blacktip run right in front of the boat in about 3' of water that was an easy 7 footer. They are back in the bays aswell. Saw two more good one working bait near some guts last Thursday.

            be careful out there......

I saw a Gator swimming towards JT's not sure if JT was testing his new remote controlled gator or if the thing just wanted to snack on some beers & burgers over at the marina...

This is why I spent the money and bought me two sets of fangs (La Cross Snake Boots) bought un at MARBURGERS, A pair for summer and one for winter that my waders will fit-in. I got hit about 8 years ago stepping over the anchor rope, wow IT HURT like a mo fo.
My fault though I was freeking running around trying to get ahead of everyone on the wade. So now I can run a foot race, walk on the bank back to the boat and dont have to worry about them bad boogers in the water or on land anymore, except if I fall or something like that and land on one (OUCH).
