Jetties 3/22 11-3pm.
Left Jamaica Beach at 10, made boat cut by 11-crabs and live shrimp-not that many boats. Nada. Moved down North Jetty close to bend. Nada. Crossed to South Jetty, inside channel and drifted along - nephew was throwing split-shot free-lined shrimp at rocks while I dragged a cracked crab on bottom-about 15' water. He hooks up and so do I. His is right at 28" and mine's 32". We pull back and anchor up. 5 on board brother's 22' Grady cuddy. I set out 2 cracked crab lines while rest throw shrimp at rocks. Non-stop sheepshead, rat reds and spanny macs plus 1 26" red. Another 27-28" red on crab also. Between 1:30-3 pm, prolly caught 30 sheepies, 15 reds, several cut lines (spannys) and several spannys. Tossed all back but 4 reds. Not a single black drum caught. Sheepies up to 4#s. Here's a pic of the Elissa we passed on way back in and nephew and my reds and creel pic. Notice mine was tagged.
USCG was out-not stopped and passed GW near Tiki-no stop also (we were legal anyway).
