who is leaving out cookies?

I am leaving cookies for santa!

We still leave cookies for Santa!! He is always kind enough to leave a Thank You letter that my sons thoroughly enjoy. Considering my sons are 19 & 14 they long ago realized I write these letters. Santa's letters are always humorous and usually include some exciting story of how Santa had to fight the dog while delivering presnts under our tree. One Christmas many years ago our newly adopted greyhound "goosed" Santa which caused him to knock over the tree and caused him several hours delay. Last year our 7 month old Red Bone Cone Hound-Mut attacked him and he expressed that he knew his back-side would be numb considering the large hole she ripped in his trousers. I always include a "atta boy" in the letter for something each of my sons did earlier in the year just to let them know that we remember thier hard work throughout the year. It has been a fun tradition that will probably only last a couple more years but I encourage those of you with younger children to take the time to write a letter from Santa. Once the presents are opened we have enjoyed many laughs at Santa's exploits within our den. Merry Christmas!!
