  • Ever Lose Your Boat In The Fog?

Every year it seems I have at least one day where I lose my boat in the fog. I've got to where if it's really thick, I anchor right off a shoreline and wade that shore. Other than a long ball of twine, anyone have great boat locater ideas?

Keep a handheld GPS unit on you and mark the location of your boat.

Put a car alarm on it,wire it up for just the horn & lights, use remote to make horn sound & lights flash. If you hear another boat approaching, hit remote.
      Today is a new day!!

GPS is the best idea. But a gadgety option might be this or something similar (range 300'):

Loudest key finder available. The KeyRinger is designed in California and versions have been sold since 2001.
