I like neoprene in the winter...yesterday I forgot the warmups that I usually wear underneath...waded from 5pm to 7pm with shorts underneath only and was fine...I would have froze my a** off with breathables. I also like the fact that you can stuff a spare reel, small bait box ect in them an they are still comfortable...don't have to drag around a wading belt, shoulder box ect.. a lot more storage capacity than my breathables which is especially good if you are walking in, not as big a deal if your're in a boat....they start to get a little hot in the spring...then its time for wet wading...a $60 pair usually makes it about 2 winters if you rinse in freshwater and dry properly after each use...just my 2 cents.

Maggelan Mag2 ($100) or Mag3 ($120) from Academy. I can get 3-4 pair for the price of one pair of Simms. Everything Simms makes is over priced. Gater

The only problem with Academy is they mostly stock little feet midget waders.
Cabelas has a good selection of neoprene waders for under $100 and you can order them online.

Hodgman XL Breathable waders, new. Currently $16.04 plus $9.38 shipping. How can you beat $26 waders?

Fig Kenny fishes ~200 days a year.

If he is not teaching then he is fishing unless the weather is really bad.

At JB he has breakfast, takes ~2 minutes to hook up the boat and ~3 minutes to the ramp in all the traffic.

With all that fishing he needs the good expensive pair.

I have had good luck with the Academy waders and gotten 2 to 3 years from them.
Did have Academy replace a pair that started leaking in the neoprene foot from Academy within a year. Looked like a piece of shell that got caught in the boot cut thru the bottom of the neoprene. Just as easy to find the leaks they usually get and leave them at the farm for fishing the river during the winter.

I got the MAG2 and they are great to me. I am with Chip, not going to spend $ 400 for waders, unless they can make me catch fish

Ok, I resemble the swampgas remarks and also agree.

Any wifey worth her salt would gladly give up BDay, Xmas, Anniversary and Mother's day gifts so her hubby could afford a decent pair of fishing waders. If she gets P.O.d and threatens to cut you off sex, look her straight in the eyes and say "Look Beotch, ya can't cut me off because ya don't know where I'm getting it." It worked great-me and JT each have the expensive waders (well actually, they are the cheapazz kind but ended up being very costly since the Ex-wifeys and their attorneys took all our money - but at $40 then, that was alotta money after having accounts froze and taken)-live and learn!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
