I just got a pair of Hodgeman Streamking breathables for $35 shipped from eBay. It all depends on what you want to spend. I'm told there's nothing like a pair of Simms. I'd also like a pair of neoprenes for the winter, but for now I'll just wear my sweats under my breathables!"Curmudgeon only pawn in game of life."

If your talking about your Simms, then they have an excellent warranty. They'll fix that foot free under their "the first repair is on us" policy. You will have to pay shipping there.Originally posted by Milkjug View PostX2. Time for a new pair. Mine are 3yrs old and the sole of the stocking foot just fell out!"GET OFF MY REEF!"

I have only bought two pairs of waders in the last 16 years, and the second pair (G3's) are still working just fine. You do the math!Originally posted by imhammer View PostI just buy a cheap pair of breathables and then wear them until they wear out. I can't see paying the money for a pair of Simms."GET OFF MY REEF!"

I understand that Kenny, but it is still hard to come out of pocked $300-$400 in one chunk. I usually get 2 years out of a cheap pair, so I still haven't spent as much as that on waders. When I get the kids out of school maybe I will make that investment. I need a pair of good prescription glasses a lot worse.sigpic

Sorry backlasher for the hijack of your waders thread. There are probably at least 30 companies selling waders but only a handfull making all of them. Just do a search for "breathable waders" you'll get hundreds of hits.
I'd look on ebay & amazon first. Bass pro, Cabelas, Orvis, Simms, Wright & McGill, Caddis, Magellan, and on and on. I like breathable multi ply legs and prefer Gortex but it cost more.
Good luck!"GET OFF MY REEF!"

i use to not buy my wife christmas, birthday, mother days, valentine etc.. gifts in order to have enough $$$ to buy a good a set of waders. if you are really a serious fisherman and serious about getting a lst class wader; thats the sacrifice you need to make and i think in most cases, they understand.
