Shimano bought out G Loomis - right ? so if thats the case, what blanks are no being used by G Loomis ? Anybody know ?

GLoomis still makes blanks in the USA. Although Shimano owns GLoomis, they are still two different entities. Shimano has actually owned GLoomis for over thirteen years. I suspect that Shimano purchased GLoomis for it's graphite technology and has their rods manufactured over seas. Gary Loomis just completed his 'Non Compete" Clause and has started North Fork Composites and build high end rod blanks in the USA.
Since Shimano's buy out, many of the Old employess at GLoomis have left and consulted with other blank manufacturers so now other manufacturers have Gloomis technology in their blank designs. -
Trey Kistler is now using G Loomis blanks from North Fork in their new Zbone rod line. I should have my new 6'6" before Christmas...maybe!"GET OFF MY REEF!"Comment
