      Just lookin for some guidance
Old diesels run forever. Newer ones are too complicated and troublesome. If it's not something you're going to drive everyday, I would definitely go with a gas motor. All the gas motors in trucks should make at least 200K. I'd look at a 92-96 bronco for what you want.

That is a really nice looking one. I just said 92-96 because I like the newer front clip and interior. Nothing wrong with the 88-91.

Yes, old oil will run in them.

As far as an old bronco, mine was great-1994 O.J. opposite-Black on Black, bought new fully loaded for $22k, had 248,700 when Ike took her-original engine, replaced rear end, but didn't tow 4000#s worth a chit-swayed and fishtailed-too short a wheel base. In mud slop, like goose chit type mud, it slid all over the place. I loved that bronco-dangit-had liability only, so it became a tax write-off after being underwater. They are dang nice and versatile.

Find an old chevy (except transmissions are usually crapola) or an old Ford-take your time. Biggest problem will be inspection issues on emissions!! I'd take the candidate in and have it inspected to make sure ya aint got a problem getting it inspected!! I know ways around it, but think about it-if ya get caught (or they do and turn ya in), it's a GD felony is my understanding for a crummy inspection sticker-plus if it won't pass, then there prolly is something wrong with it. For $40 it'd be worth it.

A land rover is a POS-an isuzu has no power and can't make a pull up a hill.

"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
