  • Captains License.

My Merchant Mariner Credential (Captains License) arrived in the mail today. I started the classes on Oct 8th. I am pretty jazzed except for the fact that my copy of "Captain Ron" finally wore out and I couldn't watch it tonight.

No plans on becoming a fishing guide but I might consider guiding duck hunting trips.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

Congrats! It's a good feeling once you have it in your hands. I have had mine for 4 years now.

Not that much different than a Karankawa indian hunting the shallows at night with a torch and a spear.

            Course $935.00
            TWIC card 132.50
            USCG fee 145.00
            Drug Screen 60.00
            Physical Exam 72.00

The course started October 8th and finished on October 15th and I got my certificate in the mail on October 29th. (three weeks from start to finish)

If you already are certified for first aid and CPR the course is only 7 days and if you are in a job that requires random drug testing you need only a letter from your employer.
