    Blockade Runners 10/22-24/10

    Trying to get plans together for this weekend. So far I know that VJER and his brother Tony will head out on Friday and get set up to paint some more. I'll be joining, probably along with 2112 and a buddy after the Club Meeting that night. That puts us with 5 for Friday night, and probably Saturday night as well. If anyone wants to join in, we can comfortably put 2-3 more people in for each night.

    There will be some work to do for everyone, but nothing that will keep you away from fishing. I'll need a hand on a couple of little things. I'll probably need about 2 hours of work from whomever comes and if you know how to do any painting, then that will help.

    We'll have the lights on for fishin' each night, so if'n you wanna come out, just let me know. 1st come, 1st serve. I plan to be out until sunset on Sunday. - Sandy

    The wife and I might try to sneak out there Sat evening for a few hours if thats ok. I'll give you a shout and let you know.

        Mike, a friend from work and I will be there Friday but it looks like will miss you. He plays guitar pretty darn good, better than me anyway. Catch ya next time, tell Rachel hello for me.

            Well, my friends from Memphis cancelled out on me, but they plan to meet up with me at the meeting tonight since they'll be a few miles away, so here's the update.

            Friday night we'll have 2112 and buddy, me, VJER, and Tony
            Saturday we'll have Dean and VJER's dad coming out for the day. Both may try to stay the night, but we're not sure about it. Ibtsoom and Rachel in the PM
            Sunday I think VJER and Tony might stay late with me due to the Texans having a bye.

            So it looks like we have some unexpected room on Saturday/Sunday if anyone wants in. I'll see y'all tonight at the meeting. - Sandy

              sandy i got 4 8x8x16 treated timbers for you i can try to put them on my boat and get them to you sat. morn are i can pull my lowboy to koa and load them on another boat what do you think

                  No problem Bert. Take the time to heal up some more.

                  I'm headed out to the Meeting soon after I hit the grocery. Hopefully we'll be finished painting by Sunday! If it all gets done, I'm planning a NO WORK WEEKEND next weekend.

                    The wind is kicking arse here, but inexplicably so is the fishing! We have a box FULL of fish. The specks are thick under the lights. I made 20 casts last night and caught 30 trout. The reds are thick and about half of them over 20 inches. Some really nice flatties too.

                    Painting's almost done.

                    I plan to begin the generator shed in 2 weeks. We're going to need a crew to wrestle in these 16 foot 8X8s that TRP 150 secured for us.

                        It was my pleasure Bill. Don't know what I woulda done without that bacon. You left before I asked how much I owed you for it. You also left all that sausage and taters. I reckon I owe you a tamer boil next time you come out. That okra was still darn good. But that boil was outta hand. Sorry about that. That boudin is . . . . how do the kids say? Off the chain?

                            Sandy the boil was great a little spicy but makes the beer go down good. Sorry we left so early but we enjoyed babysitting the grandkids that night. hope ya'll eat the rest of the sausage and taters. If there is any boudin left you are a better men than me. thanks again Bill

                              Nah Bill, the boudin went down perfect along with Vic's guacamole. It was an odd, but perfect combination. I said, "Hey, we need to save some of this guacamole for football tomorrow." 10 minutes later it was gone, along with the boudin. LOL! That stuff rules!
