  • Gator in Clear Lake

Was playing around with a new rod and reel a little while ago and noticed this little guy swimming around the boat ramp and pier chasing Mullet. Everytime a Mullet would jump near him he would lunge for it. This is the boat ramp near the Hilton. I had a topwater tied on with no hooks on it but couldn't get him to blowup on it LOL. He looked like a 4 to 5 footer.

That would be one big *** blow up.

My friend lives on Taylor Lake and she sees them all the time. As long as I don't see a 10+ when I'm wakeboarding I'll be ok haha.

I see them in the mornings or after dark. They do a pretty good job of hiding when boaters are out.

How's the fishing in Clear Lake right now? I was going to go there a couple of week ago as it's only about 15-20 miles from my house but decided to go to Bay Area Park instead (and didn't catch jack!). Is there good fishing for reds or trout from the pier or from the bank? Any good areas for wading there?

I don't know Clear Lake area, but used to do good along the Levee Road a/k/a Skyline drive next to TX City Dike on Dollar Flats-great sand bottom and nice flat-caught many nice trout there years ago. Bring Off and run down the levee and get in quick-the mosquitoes were usually pretty fierce!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
