Is there a way to buy a yearly pass or will they offer one? Kinda like a season pass to Astroworld, where they count on You not coming back often enough. By the way, No vendors, bait shops, pier, or even lights, Just a road and the boat ramps.

From what I read today on KHOU's website, there will be no yearly pass offered. I really don't think $5 is too unreasonable to pay; especially if it helps to keep the place cleaned and maintained. I've been to the Surfside jetty three times now and am apalled at the amount of trash that people leave behind. If you can pack it in then you can pack it out. Where is people's respect for Mother Nature and their fellow outdoorsmen/women? I can only hope that the Texas City Dike will be kept cleaner than the one at Surfside.
I fished Mosquito Island yesterday and they have a big white tarp structure up where I guess they take your monies . I wonder what the traffic is like today ?

Yeah they should charge all those people to clean their trash up.
