College Student needs are car

We are "fostering" a college student from Missouri while she tries to get on her feet here in Texas. She will be commuting from the Woodlands to Sam Houston in Huntsville and needs some mode of transportation. We are trying to find her a dependable but inexpensive car for $2000.00 or less. Prefer a 4 cylinder but beggers can't be chooser! Anyone know of anything?
