Robalo - I feel your pain. You know he's trying to do this to gain voters before the November elections, so the Dems won't lose as many seats. (many other reasons as well). What amazes me is the white house talking about more stimulous and extending jobless benefits again. When will they realize the spending and the taxing is not helping the economy? Nor is it at all the will of the majority of Americans. My belief is they know exactly what their doing, ruining and slowly overtaking our country until we become a socialized society with no other choice but the govenment for help.

I dunno, Bush used "signing statements' to only execute the parts of Congressional laws he liked - and people were fine with that. In fact, Bush wrote thousands of executive orders. The most famous were the torture memos that came out of the Justice Department, by John Yoo.

And the President is sworn to uphold the Constitution, not all the laws passed by Congress. Remember, the President has the right of the veto as well.

The real reason is that Congress won't vote on immigration before the November Election, yet states like Arizona need some kind of relief from a huge immigration problem NOW.

My the way, the leaked internal agency memo simply describes what actions the President could take using Executive Orders, but in no way says that Obama will do any specific thing. He is NOT saying we should offer amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens, as many would suppose.
