Very sad-I bet ma and pa hate themselves now.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

        Very sad, BUT......

"When the boy came to his mother to get some potato chips, she sent him to the water to wash off the sand."

        HELLO!!!!!!!!
a 2 year old???? Without his mom holding his hand and him in a life jacket??? Gah when are people gonna learn? Apparently never because at least one person drowns at SLP every year. The parents ought to have CPS on their arse and their kids taken away.

        GOD BLESS AND GIG'EM!

I hope I catch a 10 lb trout before I catch a flesh eating bacteria.

I read about this in the paper this morning. While extremely sad for the parents to have to go through, I can't imagine anyone letting a 2 year old out of their reach or site while around the water, especially when currents are involved.

that place is dangerous to anyone that goes in the water.
the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

I feel sad for the pain and horror the child had to go through. I also feel anger towards the parents.

At the risk of sounding racist, it's true that I've seen many what appear to be illegals at the pass and bay side not having a clue apparently of the dangers there. I've stopped and told some under the pass about the currents when i've seen their children in the water...didn't do any good. I saw a police truck stop and made them get their kids out of the water, then go right back in after he left. last year there were a swarm of illegals of all ages behind the pass where you park and wade out. I was in my kayak before they arrived and foul hooked a decent sized stingray right up againt the grass and drug it on the sand to get my lure back. Later I saw little kids splashing around where I had caught the stingray, adults were using cast nets in the shallows . I later came in and went over to the now deceased ray and proceeded to cut off the barb...I have it on my office desk. Well, they came over to look and one could speak some english. I told him I had caught it right where the kids were wading around. He goes back and tells the women folk who then come over and take a look at my ray and barb I was now brandishing menicingly at them. A rapid exchange in Spanish followed and as I readying to go back out they drove past me away ..probably to the pass.. one car filled up and a pikup filled up , the bed packed solid with glum looking kids glaring at me for ruining the fun. It was nice to have the place quieted down. I need to keep a big throw down ray with me if things get crowded where I'm fishing.
