Well lets just say it was a long week with lots of fun and variety mixed in.
We flew into LA on Father's day morning andchecked into our hotel before heading to the Sis in Law's house for father's day dinner/party. Had about 40 people there for that event. Great food and lots of alcohol with a bunch of Tina's family.
Got up the next morning and headed to the beach for a little fun in the sun. Stayed there most of the day and then back to eat and drink some more.
Next day we prepped for Tina's niece's graduation party and then went to the graduation with all the family. She had the last speech of the graduation being class president so we were there for the duration. We then had the graduation party, but we cut it short and went back to the hotel before midnight so we could get some sleep before Disney the next day.
We left the hotel about 9:00 and headed to Disney and spent the entire day there having a blast with all our kids, nieces, nephews and Grandma. We left about 10:30 after the fireworks show and headed back with some really tired kids.
The next morning we left about 9:30 and headed to Vegas. Checked into the Trump towers and played around for a while before going to see Ka - Cirque du Soleil show. It was pretty good, but not as action packed as all of their other shows that we have seen. We went back and people headed their own ways to hit the casinos while Camo and I went to bed about midnight to get some sleep for the fishing trip the next morning.
Cameron & I got up at 3:50 and headed to Lake mead for some Striper fishing. Met the guide and hit the water about 5:30am. I had a bad feeling when he started complaining that the bait shop wasn't open and we would have to make due with the bait that he had. He asked me if I wanted to chase Slurpers (schoolies feeding on shad on top) or anchor and soak bait. I told him that cameron would have a hard time throwin lures at schools, so we should just anchor up.
We hit the spot that he said they had been hammering them for the last week and we fished there for 2 hours with only a couple of bites and no hook ups.
He said we had better go chase slurpers since there were no fish at his spot and we ran around for a while looking for schools for a while. We finally located some and he sat in the front fishing and complaining the whole time we were chasing them. I got 2 blow ups and he didn't get a single bite while Cameron just stood by me watching the whole time. I finally said it was time to go back to the bait so we could try to get Camo on some fish. We anchored back up and finally about the time we needed to head back, Camo hooks up with a catfish about 3 lbs and then a decent Striper about 4 lbs a few minuted later, so the day was saved in the last few minutes.
We headed back in about 10:00 and headed back to the hotel to check out before noon.
We then went to lunch and back to the casinos and played around until about 11:00pm and headed back to LA. We checked into the hotel and crashed for a few hours then back to the Sis in Law's for lunch before heading back.
Got back last night late and slept until 11:00 this am. Rested today and back to work tomorrow.
