  • Getting into Halls Lake

I was wondering how you get back into Halls Lake. I know there is 2 little cut through entrances and the one on the right is close to that house. I have seen from a distance several people haulin *** through there without ever thinkin twice. If i remember correctly, there is some oyster shell close to there. Can anybody gimme some helpful tips. The boat runs pretty skinny, but not on oyster shell, lol.

    Thanks

Halls Lake is shallow, so watch you tides before you go in there ....

The Narrows is what you call the entrance to Halls

You can go thru both, but be careful of the entrance as there is a good size reef on the out side between the two .... see map

There is also a reef on the inside on the norht side near the only house in the Lake.

Here is a map that might help you

If you run in there and you are kicking up mud, don't come off plane and get out of there ...... the lake is all mud with some mixed in shell

            Halls Lake Entrance

            Appreciate the help everybody.

Muddskipper..thanks for the map. It did help. The shell between the two entrances is what i remember seeing when we had our Skeeter 22 Bay Boat. We decided real quick that wasnt the boat for the skinny water, lol. I'll be sure to check it out but cautiously when conditions are right.

Once you learn it it is no problem. When heading in stay left. There is a reef real shallow in front of and to the right of the right side entrance about fifty yards out. Once in the gut on the left I swing to the right a bit as I approach the end.

Just take a Majek, youll be fine. Hahaha, its not bad, just spend some time learning it. Chocolate Bayou, Chocolate Bay and Hall's Lake all have some really low tides in the winter. I always spend some time out there that time of the year learning the area since a lot of the oyster reefs and shallow areas are exposed or much more visible. Good luck, its a great area to fish.
