Well guys, I lost my dad thursday evening, but he was ready to go. He came to visit for Father's Day and saw all his family, close friends and also all of his living fishing buddies. One of them had passed last week (Dr. Benno Anderson) and he stayed to go to his memorial Monday eve. On the way back to Georgetown, he had a major attack that apparently took him within a few minutes because they shocked him back to "stable" 7 times that night. He had a DNR will in place, but they did it anyway. He hung on until Thursday when I got there and helped my sister "let go". He must have left us on Monday during all the shocking beacuse there was no expression as he was passing.
He taught me about life and how to live it and I'm a better man for being his son, not to mention outdoor life.
So enjoy your dads and family while you can, cause you never know when The Hand will reach down and bring you up there. Everything is good. Won't be here for a few, but I'll be back.
