I witnessed all this from the south shoreline, looked like there was alot of boats out there.

I'm gonna chime in and say if he was already wading to a point and you got out and proceeded to wade towards him/point, that's too close. There are many reefs in west bay, if I see someone already wading towards and area I want to fish I just simply move on and find another spot. There are plenty of fish in West Bay to go around
