If you can make it Bert, you know you and the pup are most welcome. I can tell y'all that if anyone makes it over, we could really use some ice and a few gallons of gas. Dad is in love with having power out here, and that takes gas, plus I had to use up a bunch rescuing a buddy yesterday who ran out of gas on Bastrop Bayou. My boat only has a half of a tank left and we have zero reserve.

I may not be able to fire up the computer again, so anyone who needs me, call me. No texting please.

      OK...I'm gonna try.
I'll bring 5 gls of gas and me dog. I hope DookieRay shows so I can show him his prodigy and plus since I am physically lame I can pay total attention to my pup so as he don't have a accident.
Ice, gas, spirits, Ruger MKIII, a few previously mentioned birthday presents, dog food and sausage...I'm all in.
      See ya soon.

You gonna want to spend the night Bert?

If you bring the gas we'll be on gen power all night, that means A/C. You'll likely have the cave to yourself with your pup. Haven't heard from Blake or Dookie yet.

No problem being physically lame. Willie left his lounge chair here. I'll put you in it and you won't be able to get out without help. You and Dad can sit on the porch and order me about for this and that.

All thats sounds so dang good and is kinda what I was hoping for.
I got a 70th anniversary Red Ryder and some of those solar powered step lights I was telling you about.
I'll be taking my sweet time getting there but I'll call when I am about 20 minutes out.

Dang Sandy, if I would have thought about it at the boat ramp there was 2 more bags of ice in the boat and probably 15 gallons of gas we could have syphoned out, I sure didn't need the gas. LOL The day started out great with getting on fish on my first drift, a little R&R on the porch and then the end of the day really sux'ed. Going after a new water pump today. Enjoy my lounge chair Bert, that thing will put you to sleep.

The chair worked magically on Bert. He's sacked out. What a great day. Started kind of gloomy, but we needed rain and we got a little. Saw 2 water spouts, one rather large. They were headed right toward us! But they petered out as they hit the beach. Again I busied myself with little projects with varying degrees of success. I made 2 casts today and caught a nice croaker. For dinner we had a real victory for me in the kitchen. I think I'vve graduated from cook to chef. Tonight we had pork loin and chicken, sausage, and fresh caught flounder (caught by Tres yesterday off the dock) jambalaya. For dessert, my signature bananas.

Today was my last sunset here for a month, and it was a grand one. The best in a loooong time. Bert and Dad took lots of pics, which I hope to post asap. Cisco has been a real kick to have around and Bert is a great daddy.

Right now we're all inside, Dad reading, Cisco and Bert passed out, and me on the computer. We've got the gen running and basking in the results of Ibtsoom's good work. It's amazing to flip a switch and everything comes on.

I'm sorry to see this as our last night here. Dad and I have had such a good time together. But many memories have been made. We'll be here until Thursday afternoon if anyone wants to join. I'm going to hit the sack. Dad and I are actually going to fish tomorrow!
