Can golf carts still go onto the non-vehicle areas of the beach across the road from the main entrance to Sea Isle? Last summer, there were plenty of golf carts on the non-vehicle areas. With the new golf cart ordinance, I'm wondering if the Galveston Police are cracking down on golf carts operating in non motor vehicle areas.

No, no motorized vehicles allowed on beach UNLESS handicap. Plus since that is City of Galveston jurisdiction, I believe you need a permit (which I believe is a fee involved) and certain safety devices. No open containers of alcohol-same as car rules. Cannot drive on streets with speed limits over 35 mph. Try googling city of galveston golf cart rules-the law is fairly recent-two sets of rules apply-one for east of seawall and one for west end."Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Yes, you need to have a red registration sticker on your cart, rear view mirror, reflectors on left and right front, triangle reflector on rear. the fee is $ 25 per year and you have to show proof of finanical responsiblity (insurance).
They were giving tickets the last two weeks around Terramar and I actually saw GDP driving down the beach all the way from Jamaica.
