  • Looking for lodge

Can anybody help me find a lodge within a couple hours of Houston that could handle 20 or so people for a men's retreat?

    THanks ! Scott

Try Hackberry Rod & Gun over in Lousiana ....

They have not been effected by the oil spill ..... I know Buddy over there, if you want me to give him a call....

      3 hrs from houston

Others would be Redfish lodge or Bay Flats Lodge, both in Rockport, but pricey

If you could make the 4.5 hr drive go to Port Mansfield and hit
      Get a Way adventure Lodge

Hey Scott, might look into Oak Lodge in East Trinity. It's @ the Double Bayou area, a Great looking place. Access to East Bay / Trinty.

We did 12 people last thursday at bay Flats lodge. First class and worth every penny. They can handle 20 easy. With plenty of places to fish. We found gin clear water with 20 plus MPH winds. I did Hackberry last month Nice also But having fished Big lake twice I can see there is a lot more bay system and places I would like to learn to fish in the Seadrift area.

It's been years, but I went there for a men's retreat. Can handle 20 guys easily , on the water and has a long private lighted pier for your use. It will probably be cheaper than a fishing lodge. We all fished the lighted pier and had a fish fry the next day. You can scrounge around the rocks for flounder too at the point leading up the bayou on a moving tide.
