  • What Would You Pay?

We have had this for sale for a while and not many hits. So anything you guys see bad/over priced please tell.

This is a 1996 century 2180 it has a 1996 150 yamaha runs good we recently got the carbs cleaned. The gets taken out almost every weekend year round. It will go fairly shallow with the jack plate all the way up you idle around in 1.3ft if water. The shallowest we've ever gotten up in was about 1.7ft but I think it could get up shallower. the gas tank was replaced in 2009 it had an infloor tank now it has one that comes through the console when we cut the hole to get the old tank out we got the whole back deck replaced by Angels fiberglass.

    It has
    Power lift jack plate
    custom leaning post by espronde.
Custom grab-rail bought at tops n towers
stick it anchor mount with the anchor
    Vhf radio
    2004 80lb riptide trolling motor.
    Live well
2009 Garmin 545s gps (would like to keep and take money off the boat)
    onboard charger
    mclain trailer

    Asking 12000 with gps
    11200 without gps
    Will take offers

    Will post more pics later

I didn't look it up on NADA, but it looks like a really well maintained boat. My guess is that people are shying away from paying a premium for a 14 year old boat given all the deals that are out there on newer boats.

You might try moving the price down $500/week until you start to get some interest.

Good luck. It looks like it will be a good buy for someone.

I would check NADA Used boats as GGF suggested. Seems like ya may want to look at what they show as used price. I understand it's in great shape and all. good luck-nice well laid out rig.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. The problem is that style of boat is not in demand.

If it had a tunnel, guys would be all over it .....

A 14 yr old yammi turns guys away as well, as yamaha will stop making parts for it (if they already hav'nt), and you will end up paying top dollar for parts alone.

Running it in salt water is a turn off as well

IMO it's over priced by 2 - 3K minimum..... as I was boat shopping here for a year until January .... I really got a feel for what the value of boats were.

Let me give you an Idea..

Last year I sold a 24ft Proline, 91 Model with a 95 Model 225 Yamaha. It had 2 GPS, stereo, VHF, 3-D fish Finder, tandem axle aluminum trailer.. the works. I got $7000 for it.

If I was in the market for a boat like yours, I wouldn't pay more than $5,000 for it..

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the guys are right. It is a very nice boat but for a bay boat it won't be in high demand, plus as stated there are some really great deals on alot newer boats for not much more than you are asking. I'm going to have to side with Tiny, 4-5K and NADA agrees.

Oops, the page you are looking for does not seem to exist... Check out the latest goings on in the meantime, maybe that'll get you on the right road.
