Don't know, but,I would like to know myself. The public launch should be open.

The public launch is open, but it continues to be one of the worst ramps in the Galveston area. That thing is shallow for a ways out then has a very steep drop off. Was locked a couple of weeks ago...and your are right about the public option, it sux! I can only launch there if the tide is really high...it would be good for business at the marina if the would fix up the public option...Sea Isle is a great place to lauch from if you are going to fish the pass...Comment

Thanks guys we launched out of the public ramp lastnight and all went well. It was in pretty bad shape, but we were in a flat bottom so it wasnt to difficult. hopefully i will have my keys next weekend.Comment

Yes-they have been diligent on keeping it locked lately, so be prepared to use public ramp.
