Surf Fishing

I'm planning on hitting the surf Tuesday evening, sure would like to hang with anyone else heading out then. conditions permitting

Hello I am going to be at Terramar and I have ask questions before on here and got good responses but that was on the bay. Is the surf any good and how far do you have to go out?

It is when the water is calm and green. Sometimes they are in the first gut, sometimes the second, sometimes a little deeper. They usually move deeper as the morning progresses. Try different methods until you find the fish

I actually prefer to hit the Surf right at daybreak, I just really want to get out and Tue. the only chance I have. Otherwise have to wait till Sat. I'm pretty short so I can only make the 2nd bar...the big trout are at the 3rd if I'm not mistaken. I throw spoons or plastics on 1/4 jig...and just work it. My biggest trout was on a Corky. Live shrimp of popping cork pretty good too
