  • A Little Brag

My daughter KC plays 14 & Under on the Cy Fair Shock. They have been together for only a few months and are finally putting it together. There is a ton of talent in their age range. It is amazing to watch some of these 13-14 yr olds play the way they do. There are lots of girls over 6ft and 1 that is 13 and 6'4" and plays point guard.
They lost their second game of the tourney and battled back through the loser's bracket to win it all in the finals in a nail biter.
Here is a little video of one basket by KC.Not great, but it is from my phone.

WTG Dad, can't see Pic's/Video here @ work but sure it's a cool Video... Is she getting as tall as you, if so she needs to bump up to the Varsity level..

My Grandson is also in line for some Brag, he is 12/12 in his Tball Batting. In the outfield he is known as the Flower Child and has only made 1 out in 10 games. They are in 1st Place after Sat's 15-1 win! Their record is 8/2

Big congrats to KC. My daughter played AAU for 5 years, including 3 with Al Coleman's Shock 92 team, which included this year's national high school player of the year, Chiney Ogwumike. The AAU circuit is a lot of fun, but can also be a bit stressful at times. What school will KC be at this year? Even though Kelli is heading on to A&M this fall, I still plan on keeping up with girls high school ball this fall.

KC will be at Cy Ranch. They should be pretty good. They have some talented big girls.

I saw Cy Ranch 3 times last year. They were pretty impressive for a first year team. I do remember one tall girl that was pretty impressive and Hoover Morris' daughter is pretty good also. Did KC play varsity as a freshman last year? I remember a girl who played guard that kinda resembles the picture you posted. With all the players that Cy Fair lost to graduation the district ought to be more wide open than usual but I think Cy Falls will be returning most of their girls and will probably be the favorite.
