WEA Please take time to send your thoughts and prayers to those lost and injured onboard the Discovery. This was one of the most advanced rigs in the world and one of the best!!! It hit home with me as I have returned many hitches safe from my days offshore. I cant imagine what it would have been like for my family to be told I was not coming home. I thank my family for also having smiles,hugs,warm beds and homecooked meals upon my return. They never complain and I know they worried constantly. I remember being oversea and wondering how my family was after 60 days of being gone?I have received hundreds of emails,text and calls from past co workers from all over the world. All wanting to know are you safe. I dont even go offshore anymore!!. Small community that sticks together. I also know that I have worked offshore with Sneakypete and lurefisher many years and thank the lord he brought us home safely in all our travels. We can tell all the crazy stories and good times we have had! But there are those that their book has ended and it hits home hard as I watch today one of my best crews pack their tool box and head offshore. Makes you wonder what if? The oilfield is not shut down and thousands as we speak are heading to the dock for their hitch. Hope they return home to their safely!!!

I've been away from the rigs for seven years now but I miss the family and friends that I have met.Corndog said it right,small community with alot of love and heart.I am wondering about a few that would have been right out there on that drill floor or in the derrick.Godspeed and god bless.There is always a place in my heart for our blue collar oilfield workers,we are family.Let us all pray for the safe return of those who did come home and the passing of the ones who was trying to shut her down,Christopher.Comment
