my pops has told me about wading somewhere next to to ferry landings and it being a honey hole for flounder...... has n e one done this????? curious due to the fact i never seen n e one wadin there.

Fumble finger post.lol.I never saw anyone wade there.The old barges used to be a hot spot for me.Caught many limits of flounder there.You could wade there,Just shuffle the old barges are still there i think,just below the water line.Flounder used to stack up there in the current break.

You can walk in wade ( I've done it ) at Horseshoe Cove north of the sunken barges which are just north of the Boliver ferry landing. Nice sand bottom. I have seen Vietnamese guys hopping along on top of the barges pulling out nice flounder on live shrimp, it's too deep to wade there. I was in my kayak at that time. Be prepared to loose a lot of terminal tackle as the bottom is littered with rocks, rebars and all kinds of debris. If the water was all removed, I bet you could get a life time stock of jig heads among all that stuff. But, it is a great flounder hole especially during the flounder migration. I don't recommend scrambling around on all those rusting hulks.

wade in on the galveston side of the ferry landing.the last landing on the left.wade between there and the piers toward the galvetraz yahct basin.nice fish there.i netted a nice 22 inch flounder for michelle there a couple years agoBeer,its not just for breakfast
