Thanks guys. It was an awesome way to start a weekend with some great friends. Was truly an amazing site seeing that fish think she was a tarpon flyin 3' out of the water upside down. I think both mine and my buddies jaw hit the water when she did that. All I could hear him say was "Dude thats a ten pounder" HAHA That is one of those memories that get etched in my brain.
Would be nice to get one like that this weekend during the tournament but I will be happy if we can just get three solid ones.

What a mule !! Fish of a life time, man !! I assume it was Galveston Bay area ? What were the signs that keyed you in on the area you fished ? Had a hard time going to sleep that night- still shaking ? My thoughts would have been " OK, if I die tomorrow, my life is complete ! " LOL You have bragging rights fo sure. If it was me, I'd carry pictures in my wallet like some do for their kids. Here's an idea, have a full sized tat of it on your chest so you can rip your shirt open to stun the crowd.

Plugger now that is pretty funny. No, that fish was not caught in Galveston it was caught in Baffin. We were fishing an area that we have caught some good fish before and there was a ton of active mullet. That is basically what we were keying on. Funny thing is 15 mins before that one I nailed one that went 8 on the boga that I am not sure was 27". It was just a fat chunk that had 2 big mullet in its stomach. Fishing was actually pretty slow in the area and we really had to be patient with them.
