drove by jamaica beach yesterday in the boat and i was wanting to know why they would be dredging jumbile cove?
does anybody have any idea what they are doing over there

They're dredging and terracing (building islands) the Western side then planting cord grass like they did on the Eastern side. They are also starting a second dredge operation East of JB in the State park cove(s) although I'm not sure why the dredge barge is currently way out in the bay. They are a continuation of the Texas GLO/TP&W erosion control/estuary building program.
