  • March 27th Easy Pawn Spectacular Trout tournament

It was a great day with conditions not perfect, but much better than the previous tournaments. Some of the best anglers in the Galveston area came out to compete for top honors. I have to say that it's always an honor to fish with this crowd. I'd like to congratulate all who fished and weighed in their stringers, and thank you Sal and Jorge for again putting on a great tournament!!

    Results from the Stringer division

    1-Aaron Stillwagon-16.45
    2-Popovich/soule'-13.99
    3-Pickell/marshal-12.25
    4-Havens/Renteria-11.16
    5-Battistoni/Battistoni-10.10
    6-Mark Holt-9.41
    7-Townsend/Garza-9.22
    8-Baker/Reuter-6.37
    9-White/Ellis-6.15
    10-Woodcock/Dixon-4.84

    Top 3 Big Trout

    1-Havens/Renteria-7.58
    2-Popovich/Soule'-6.23
    3-Aaron Stillwagon-6.05

Again, congratulations to all, especially Aaron, who fished solo for the win, and John and Eric for catching the biggest fish!!

There is a brief description in the forum tittled " And the wind she blows". Corkies and topwaters all day long. Great bites, just couldn't get a second fish under 25 that would really help the stringer.

Congrats Steve.I didn't get a chance to come talk to ya.I know what yall went thru on changing plans first thing in the AM.That wind was blowing. We managed 10th . This is the first year my partner and I fished all the tourny's.I am very pleased so far for just staying in the top 10 every time.It is a blast to try and compete with the top fisherman around. One day we might walk into some good fish on Tourny day.Congrats to all and Good luck in April see everyone at the weigh in.
