  • A Little Saltwater Trivia...

So who know's who the guy in the photo is...where the fish were caught...and why it became so controversial?

Man...nothing like striking up a good, blast from the past, topic.

Lake Calcasieu if my memory serves me correct...........and I don't know the players. What a day that must have been. I like the catching p[ortion of the story but the killing part of it turned me off personally.

The guy on the right of the second picture is Dwayne Lowery. This picture is from Calcasieu and those guys didn't catch a trout over 6 lbs. that day.

look at the trout on the boat. The two at the bottom and the two in the middle curved are the same fish. That picture is photoshopped big time. No question.

One look told me it had to be in Louisiana. Talk about a meat haul. I've had MANY days better than that. Heck, they didn't even fill up half of the bottom of the boat. Once my dad an I alone caught and kept over 350 trout. Before y'all cry foul, this was before limits. Ate trout every night for weeks, then 3-4 times a week for months. None went to waste. It went to my waist.

Just to tell y'all, I do not see any evidence whatsoever of photoshopping. That's simply the way it is in Louisiana waters. That's what the estuary system there produces.

Lake Calcasieu/Big Lake. Not photoshopped. True pic. Stirred up a lotta chit from conservation minded C&R folks. Good catching. Old Plugger (Rudy Grigar) killed more fish in a morning than these guys will/ever did. Plus Grigar always tossed beer cans out "Makes reefs".
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

                              It was Big Lake

                              It was Dwayne Lowery

                              There are fish over 26"

                              It's not photoshopped

The boat ramp stories are almost as good

Grigar is the saltiest, fish catchinest(if that's even really a word), fool there ever was. I read the entire book again 2 days ago...for some reason those tales never get old. Where's that time machine?
