It happen back in 2005 of April I believe.
Back then I had a 18ft Alumnacraft with a 60 Yamma purchased in Crosby new. Really a Great Boat and handle well in rough waters. She did have a occuring problem of broken welds, I/ We really abused her. Anyways I named her the WaterDevil and she was my girl.. Many a Fine trip was taking on this boat, but I did find a little better boat ( 19 ft Bluewave ).. A good move was made I believe...
Anyways, looking through my Pic's today I saw this. Since I haven't been able to get out much b/c of my surgries I was De Ja Vu mode. Me and my two buds called ourselves the 3 Amigos, corny I know but we loved it..
One day we put in at Double Bayou, heading for what I think is the most underated area in our Bay system.. Trust me Big Girls run there... The area is near Big Hodges. So as we putted out of canal heading south and just fixing to slam her in Warp Mode ( as my wife ) says.. Ole Eagle eye Kevin with those young eyes spotted some working Birds about half a mile away in the open bay.... As we got closer the trolling mtr went down and we were within a 100 yrds. Both Kevin and our other bud Steve screams (Reds) Big F__g Reds... The dance was on my friends, 3 guys in a smallish boat with 3 huge Reds hooked up. My report on another site was called ( Dancing in the Waterdevil ), how true it was. Those 3 are well over 30" and ripped our drags for over 15 minutes with us do a Dance around the boat and trying to help each other net one.. A Great display of Sportmanship as we are a Great Team. After the 1st go around, we laughed /High 5/ hugged and swore it was the Greatest.. We looked at each other and said, Let's do again as the Big Reds were still rolling with Birds.. And Again another Dance with me Pals was had...
What a Day and I'll never forget it.. just thought I'd share!
