I'm taking the family to Matty next week and I have a question. How hard is it to get into East Matty with a 18' Blue Wave? I don't want to go in blind any help would be appreciated.

pretty easy. take old gulf cut and don't turn till you are past the marker on the reefs.

better yet, once you go thru gulf cut, just drive strait south and you will be at hog island. start looking for bait, anchor up and start wading.

I agree. Put in at Matagora Harbor , and head east a few miles to old gulf cut. Head strait to the south shoreline. Stop about 1/4 mile before you get to the south shore and troll the rest of way in. It is about 18" deep up to about 100yds out.
