Called 007, no answer and he didn't post up yet, so I'm assuming he's busy. I know he's had a lot of work come down the pike. Haven't heard from reeltime yet, but sounds like he's pretty busy too. I know he has a lot going on at the casa. VJER is in for sure, but the top bunk is open unless I hear from 007 and the air mattress is open as well. Ibtsoom, just let me know Bro. - SandyFrom 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Why post on here DB? I was out there silly. Sorry you couldn't make it.
VJER and I got there around 11:30 on Saturday and got to work pretty quick. He hung the new door for the bathroom and I pulled all the drywall down. Corndog and his buddy showed a little later and helped me bag it all up. We then dined on Vic's Golden Oyster stew. Talk about good! Ibtsoom showed up soon after to complete the preliminary wiring. I then went to pulling nails, a job the lasted through today. We did a rack of beef ribs and some fresh guacamole and chips for dinner and stayed up talking until around 1am. It was soooo nice out there.
This morning, I awoke just before 9 and got some breakfast fajitas whipped up. Not too shabby for being made up of leftovers. 007 and his buddies showed for a little front porch sittin' and some brunch. I got the last of the insulation out and went back to nail pulling while Vic got the Hardie board all screwed in properly. I got the cave mostly cleared out so we can get the ceiling and walls in it this coming weekend.
I actually fished a little, but only for about 10 minutes. Vic caught all manner of fish. After some drum, rat reds, and whiting, he embarked upon his road to a trashcan slam. He caught an eel, then a stingray. All he lacked was the hardhead for the trifecta of least desirable species. At least he was trying. When I relaxed, I just sat there taking it all in, enoying the peace of the bayou. I do so love that place.
This coming weekend, TwoMack (Tres) will be headed out there on Friday. I'll join him Saturday and stay through Monday. I have Spring Break all week, so I'll be out there on and off. Hopefully we can get the back of the house walled and ceilinged and start moving a little furniture in.From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook.
