My swim coach when I was about 11 later joined USAF as a pilot and was shot down in the Gulf of Tonkin and was a POW for about 6 years-he was picked up by a VC gunboat swimming in gulf. In about 1978 I saw him on 60 minutes-he was a Blue Angel-Jim Latham. Those guys are tops! They practice in el centro, about an hour and a half east of San Diego. My Grandparents raised me and my gramps and I hunted waterfowl there every year from when I was 8-18. Those pilots and jets are amazing.
It is impossible to not watch them perform... When they were in Houston last summer, a lot of their maneuvers were right over the 45 and NASA 1 area. For the entire time they were in Houston that area of highway would come to a 5mph crawl cause everyone wanted to watch.Comment
