  • Its in the works

I had purchased a 21 foot alumninum project boat a while back and a motor for it as well. I sold the motor and now a guy is willing to trade the following for the boat an trailer. Its a stag model 6 5.56 or .223 24" bull barrel 6 position adjustable stock and 2 30 rd clips.

My 21 footer seems to be someone elses tresure. Firearm wise I have a Shotgun, a handgun and this would be my first rifle.

Do yall think its a fair trade? I have about 1300 in the boat but no cash buyers. So this is the best offer yet in 3 weeks for the project boat.

its all plywood inside and nothing esle, no steerinf etc...

Sneeky, I hear ya. Plenty of friends out there with a boat willing to split the costs of a trip.
I am hooked on offshore. Slowly builing up my gear.

i dont mean to imply that i think your bote is worth 800-1000. i dont think the 223 is worth near the $1300

Those rifles sell for about $980 new. Nice gun. it's your decision and since ya sold the motor and the project boat turned into just that (all are!!), maybe you should trade and run. I'd check out used prices for that rifle and ask how many rounds he shot through it. Either way, used gun is cheaper than new and new gun is $980, so may wanna think about it???? I kind of agree with JT. You may want to PM Deke-he's a gun expert and get his 2 cents.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I would finish the boat myself if that hull is in good shape. If you are just looking to get rid of it that's not a bad trade. The rifle would sell fast if you need the cash. That's just my $.02.

What's the round count on the barrel?

Like Jerry said the Stag Arms Super Varmint is going for about $900, with the adjustable stock and extra mag you are looking at another $100 or so new. If I were buying that weapon straight up I'd only pay $850 tops.

So I guess it comes down to how much you want for the boat.

I have given it some thought and figured since I did not get anything doen to the boat, not because of being lazy but lack of free time, I will go with the trade as long as he does not back out. I am sure I can find a ready to fish boat when the time comes.

They guy is comming from Dallas Saturday to look at the boat so wish me luck.
