  • Rod repair shops

I’ve asked this question a few years ago but forgot the rod repair shops.

Since the Chinese virus has hit and w all the lockdowns, I’ve been out fishing quite a bit and been catching so many big trout lately that the strain from cranking in 9lbers most every time I go out have damaged the tips on a couple of my rods and I need to get them repaired. I figured this would be a good time to take them in since I’m having to rest and rehab my right elbow from what is similar to “tennis elbow”.

Please don’t anyone say Alex (TTU Wader) repairs rods because I’m now going on the 9th year waiting for him to return a rod I sent him for repairs in about 2011.

    Much Oblige,
    Jt

            John:

Try some glue and buy a rod tip at Academy.

I think he sold it in The Garage. It's a nice rod-I got it really cheap too-I think it was $10-you can barely tell where he replaced an eyelet.

Jerry...the reality is alex has never been then same after the washer beat down in my driveway that night and I’m guessing he’s thinking by “stealing” my rod he can recoup his losses from that night.

You have to remember also that this is the same guy that hooked himself in the face with his own top water bait and jumped into the water with his pullover sweater on the outside of his waders one day with me and aqua pimp over at snake island cove.

Are we sure he graduated from Texas Tech? Sounds more like that "skool" in the Bryan area!!
