Me and a buddy are heading down to Galveston west bay tomorrow Sunday August 11th for a morning wade(no boat just walk in). The incoming tide ends at 7:22am. The winds are south southwest at 8-12mph all morning. I’m thinking ab wading the grass shorelines off sportsman’s road. My only question is will the water be too dirty at sportsman’s with the wind out of the SW and SSW And if so would Jamaica beach or Sea isle be a better place to walk in? Looking more for redfish than trout and will only be using artificial

Water was real dirty last night. It's cleared up a bunch today. I don't know that area, but I'm near SLP. STRONG outgoing tide today. It's almost Winter low as of now. I'd say it's fishable clear. I doubt any of this helps at all, but it's what I can see here. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Even with a SW the south shoreline of West usually holds decent water.. especially on SSW. Strong SW in the 15 -20 becomes a little harder to find good water. But remember, these fish feed in that stuff all year long, otherwise they'd starve. Find the fish first, and if they are in dirty water, so be it. Use darker or loud lures and go at it. I prefer fishing water that is not clear and I've caught trout, reds, and flounder in dirty water. In Baffin and even in Port Mansfield and Christmas, West, and Chocolate Ive caught fish in less than 1 inch visibility of water. So put that out of your mind. The low tide conditions will be more of a hindrance since you'll probably have to walk out a bit, but that is way better than a high tide situation.
have fun
