    Where’s the “ kayak put in “ ?
    We need something more descriptive.

The launch point shows on google maps as the “ kayak launch point” in Christmas bay but now we are thinking about San Louis county park. Any advice in the area?kinda worried about the currents over there. We are experienced kayakers but we tend to stay away from the passes

Thanks for the clarity. No worries at the launch point. Another good place to launch in Christmas is at the end of the road across from Beach Access #5. There's a boat ramp and an easy walk in right by the ramp. The currents CAN get bad at the exit from the SLP County Park, but that's unusual. If you stay in Cold Pass, you should be fine.

Be careful of the weather on Sat. morning. It's supposed to be T-storms 'til around noonish.

The Christmas Bay launch points are good . The SLP park launch is good but beware of where SLP and Cold Pass meet on a strong tide . Returning to the SLP launch I was at that intersection of SLP and Cold Pass and it was like being in a washing machine. My buttocks were suction cup clamped to the seat . I was scared . To be safe , go up Cold Pass West before crossing to Mud Island and same on return .

Please do . I’ll look forward to it . Try to take pictures, that always is a plus in a fishing report . Good luck !
